Turkey and Tofurkey

Regardless of how hard one tries to make vegetable product taste like the real thing, it simply is NOT turkey. Turkey and Tofurkey are definitely not the same thing and do not lead to the same pleasing culinary experience. Similarly, Christianity has its imitations. But when they lack the essential historic nature of what makes Christianity Christian (e.g. the deity of Jesus, His bodily resurrection, the need for conscious faith in Him), they are essentially vegetable product posing as the real thing.

The new read for theology for breakfast is the very important book by J. Gresham Machen entitled Christianity and Liberalism. You can buy it on Amazon, download it for your Kindle, or find it free here or somewhere else. This is a VERY important book that will help you to think through some of the most important issues of the day. Read chapter one for our 3.8.11 meeting. We will cover an additional chapter each week following. I am praying that you are unalterably infected by the spirit of Machen in his passion for the gospel and glory of Christ!
