Does God justify the ungodly by faith alone in Christ alone (Romans 4:5) or is justification by faith plus our works? The protestant reformers affirmed the former and Rome the latter. So what about evangelical scholars who profess justification by faith alone (sola fide) and insist that justification is also according to our works?
