The Church

You have probably heard or maybe even recited the words "one holy catholic and apostolic church." But what does that statement from the Nicene Creed mean and is it true? What does the Bible teach about the church? Is it any place where multiple Christians are assembled or is there more to it?

Tuesday, February 18 is when we will discuss these questions and engage chapter 17 of Pilgrim Theology. Come eager and ready to dialogue.

Here is a helpful video link from R.C. Sproul where he speaks of Augustine, Luther, and Calvin and their view of “the will.” I share this in light of profitable conversations about this we had this morning while discussing Augustine. Next week we will be discussing an excerpt from Martin Luther’s Table Talk (extra copies available at the bookstore). The Luther section is a potpourri of intriguing discussions had around Luther’s dinner table.
