Great discussion this morning about chapter 6 of Christless Christianity. Not an easy chapter to read and as we discussed in our meeting, a bone or two to pick. The need to be fed by the ministries of the church with good gospel food is essential and too often compromised. By the word of Christ we are fed and thereby equipped to serve in the world around us (Matthew 5:13; 22:39) AND IN THE BODY OF CHRIST (Ephesians 4:12). It is not an either/or as the chapter might push one to conclude. It is both. One more chapter to go and then it will be reading from the likes of Knox, Calvin, Luther, and Owen.
